Stichting Hearts for Change is a Dutch non-profit foundation established in November 2025 and based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

We are committed to transparency, accountability, and

responsible stewardship of all funds entrusted to us.

The Foundation does not pursue profit.


Our Purpose

The purpose of Stichting Hearts for Change is to support children in disadvantaged areas by working together with local communities to create safe and inspiring learning environments and to provide additional educational and essential support.

Our current implementation focus is Kenya. The Foundation may support similar initiatives in other disadvantaged regions in the future, in line with its objective.

The Foundation operates for the public benefit.


Board Composition

The Foundation is governed by an independent board:

  • Chair: Karla Paola Dominguez Zenteno
  • Secretary: Sabine Marije Haveman
  • Treasurer: Lucía Belén Eusebio

The board is responsible for strategic direction, financial

oversight, and compliance with Dutch law.

Remuneration Policy

  • Board members do not receive remuneration for their activities.
  • Only reasonable and documented expenses may be reimbursed.

Policy Plan

The Foundation operates under a multi-year policy plan (2026–2028), outlining its objectives, activities, fundraising strategy, and financial framework.

ANBI Status

The Foundation intends to apply for ANBI (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling) status. Once approved, this page will be updated accordingly.

Financial Accountability

The Foundation maintains proper financial administration in

accordance with Dutch regulations.

  • All income is received via traceable banking and/or regulated online payment channels.
  • Expenditures are approved at board level.
  • Funds are allocated according to project-based budgets.
  • An annual financial overview (including income and expenditure) will be published after completion of the first financial year.

The majority of funds are allocated directly to program

activities.
